Popcorn Needed an Upgrade. So We Went Rogue

Ever wondered how Opopop was born?

A Kitchen, A Fire Alarm & A Whole Lot of Butter

Popcorn was stuck in the past—either plain and forgettable or drowning in artificial junk.

So we got to work.

And by "work," we mean we made an absolute mess.

Armed with zero culinary expertise but an unshakable love for popcorn, we turned our kitchen into a full-blown flavor lab. There were kernels flying, butter spills that defied physics, and one ill-advised experiment involving marinating popcorn overnight (turns out, popcorn should never be soggy).

Then came the fire alarm incident. Let’s just say things got… smoky. But after countless misfires—some literal—we finally cracked it: Flavor-Wrapped™ Kernels.

But the idea started long before that. Over a big bowl of popcorn, a casual comment turned into a full-fledged mission. Popcorn hadn’t really changed in decades—unless you count the air popper from the ‘70s. Other brands focused on health trends or pre-popped bags, but where was the real innovation?

We believed popcorn should be eaten warm and fresh. And we knew we could make it better.

Big Flavor, Every Bite—No More Bland Popcorn

Instead of seasoning after the pop, we infuse every kernel with bold, evenly distributed flavor before it even hits the heat. The result? No more bland bites. Just next-level popcorn.

The inspiration came from an unexpected source—candy. M&Ms are coated in a rotating pan, ensuring every piece gets the same delicious treatment. What if popcorn kernels could get that kind of attention? That was the breakthrough moment.

Fast forward through years of tinkering, testing, and yes, some very questionable kitchen science, and we finally did it. We created a proprietary process to wrap each kernel in flavor—giving popcorn an upgrade it desperately needed.

Why ‘Opopop’?

Our name comes from the Greek word for celebration—opallios—because popcorn should be fun, exciting, and full of flavor. And let’s be honest, "Opopop" just sounds like popcorn popping. Say it out loud. See? It’s practically a snack-sized drumroll for the deliciousness to come.

From Idea to Industry Disruptor

Once we nailed the perfect popcorn, we knew we had something special.

So we launched Flavor-Wrapped™ Kernels, and the response was overwhelming. We opened our own manufacturing facility, built a team of passionate snack lovers, and got to work making popcorn cool again.

Since then we've developed snackable Pop Cups and perfected our Popper Bowl. But this is just the beginning. We’re not stopping at kernels. We’ve got big plans—because popcorn should be better, and we’re here to make sure it is.
